Hi! My name is Gracie Gray, Norland Nanny, certified birth and postnatal Doula and mother of two.
I live just south of the beautiful city of Bath with my husband, two wonderful (energetic) sons and our two (even more energetic) dogs.
I studied and graduated from Norland College in Bath with a BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies in 2013.
I found it a profound privilege to work in people’s homes with their young children and I was lucky enough to work with some wonderful families in London and Switzerland before finding a long term position in Somerset. I stayed with the family for 8 years, they have an extremely special place in my heart and we are still in regular contact. I left in 2022 when my own little family started to grow. Through my years as a nanny, I continued working on my professional development and gained a diploma in child behaviour as well as an introductory diploma in play therapy.
I feel that my high level of experience as a Norland Nanny and my personal experiences as a mother have lead me perfectly onto the passage to becoming a Doula.
I feel passionate that a person’s transition into parenthood, although a journey, shouldn’t be struggle. It should be a wonderful, precious time and with the right help, it can be. This is why I decided to train with and get a qualification through Nurturing Birth.
